Proud to say, this local small business is the only female-owned State Farm agency within a 2.5 hour-drive of us. Bend, Oregon has always been my home. I grew up here (Go Lave Bears!) and absolutely love all that Central Oregon has to offer-the hiking, lakes, amazing restaurants (I’m a total foodie), weekend warrior opportunities, and our incredibly kind residents. Plus, the outdoor concert series at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater is hard to beat!

A lot of people ask how I decided to get started as an insurance agent. My now husband and I were living in West Virginia when I got my start in the insurance field about a decade ago, just waiting for an opportunity to move back home to Central Oregon. Fortunately, the opportunity for me to open my own State Farm agency in Deschutes County presented itself to me in my very own hometown and we didn’t hesitate one moment! And, to put the icing on the cake, my big sister, Jenny decided to join me in the business, we then adopted many other sisters along the way here at the agency. Julie had years of insurance experience she brought to our team and has been with me since day one. Tonya joined our team with so much knowledge and leadership, she has over a decade of home lending experience and marketing and has helped us grow so much. When Heather came to the team. she brought so much laughter and sunshine to the office. With years of small business ownership, Heather's background provides tons of small business experience, and she just so happens to be my little sister. Lauren is praised for her kindness, positivity and can-do attitude. With years of hospitality and customer service, you will love her as much as we do. To say we are blessed would be an understatement.

What I absolutely love about State Farm is that their slogan truly does reflect their heart (“Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there”). They care so deeply about giving back to communities in ways that are near and dear to their insurance agents’ hearts. I am passionate about ending child and women trafficking and am partnering with companies in the area to bring awareness and do our part to stop it. Because of State Farm and as a local small business here in town, I can give back to our community and link arms with nonprofits that will go toward ending this tragic cycle of trafficking or our local foster children.
